No more ‘Ligaya’ for Ivana Alawi
Actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi backed out from her supposed launching TV series ‘Ang Lihim Ni Ligaya’ due to this reason.
Just like many celebrities in the entertainment industry, Ivana started doing small roles and sometimes she would not even have a line in a scene. Then, she was able to pave her way to supporting roles until she was noticed and was given the chance to have her leading role in a teleserye.
However, based on the article from Abante Entertainment, the actress chose not to push through this project. Although Ivana is so excited to do the series, the production as hindered by the pandemic.
It was said that she weighed carefully the pros and cons of doing the series amid the health crisis. She realized that she can’t do the lock-in taping which is required now in the entertainment industry for movies and soap operas.
Ivana Alawi also has the fear that she might be a carrier of the virus and this will put her family at risk. She is very concerned about her younger sister Mona‘s health who is a diabetic.
A source close to Ivana clarified that her backing out was not because of her earnings from her YouTube vlogs. The actress still wants to have TV appearances, the source added.
The actress said that it was not easy for her to give up the role. Based on the article, the role that was supposed to be for Ivana Alawi was given to Erich Gonzales after the former backed out.
The title of the series, reportedly, was changed to ‘Magdalena‘. It was also said that the taping was already started. Still included in the cast are Janice de Belen and JC de Vera who is the leading man of Erich.
