Keanu Reeves will be doing The Matrix 4
Neo is coming back as Hollywood star Keanu Reeves confirmed that The Matrix 4 is in the works.
Keanu played the role of Neo in the science fiction movie that was first released in 1999. The second and third sequels (The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions) of the movie were both released in 2003.
During a recent interview on BBC’s The One Show, Keannu confirmed that the 4th sequel of the movie is in the works. “It’s another version of a kind of call to wake up and it has some great action. All will be revealed,” the Hollywood actor said.
Based on the article from Yahoo News Philippines, sisters Lana and Lily Wachowski created the story, and the former directed the movies. Keannu said that a beautiful script was created by the writer.
The actor also confirmed that they will not be doing the prequel. “No, no. No going in the past,” he said as he perceived that the fourth film will be an allegory about humankind. There is also a possibility that Neo and Trinity will be reunited.
The filming of The Matrix 4 is happening in Berlin but it took a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from Keanu Reeves, old cast members Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity will return and also Jada Pinkett Smith.

New members in the list of characters are Neil Patrick Harris, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra, and Jessica Henwick. It is expected that the fourth sequel of the sci-fi movie will be released on April 2, 2020.
In a separate interview with AP Entertainment, Keanu Reeves shared that they needed to follow protocols while filming amid the pandemic.
