WILLIE REVILLAME – One of the most prolific hosts in Philippine entertainment, Willie Revillame discovers the sad truth about his viewers.
For the most part, hosts have one job they enjoy doing the most – entertaining people. Moreover, Revillame has been doing exactly that for several years now.
However, he recently revealed that entertainment isn’t the the primary reason people watch his show. According to an article from Pep, Revillame expressed that people don’t want entertainment, instead, they want to be given cash.
Throughout his career, Revillame has made a name for himself as one of the most generous hosts of all time. In his shows, the host has given away millions of pesos to his viewers. Sometimes, just being in the studio warrants a chance to receive a cash prize.
Currently, Revillame is the host of GMA-7’s “Tutok To Win”. People have to log-in to get the chance of being called by the host and instantly win a cash prize. From 35,000 viewers, his show has gained over 75,000 views on Facebook Live.
As per the article, Revillame said:
Napansin ko, ayaw na ng tao ng entertainment. Ang gusto ng tao yung meron kang ibibigay sa kanila.
Ang gusto ng tao, sa pangangailangan ngayon. Ayaw nila ng mga kanta-kantahan
Kapag kumakanta ako, ‘Tama na ‘yan Willie, tumawag ka na..
Still, it seems like the host has accepted this fact. “Magbibigay lang tayo, lubusin na ang kasiyahan nila. Ibigay natin kung ano ang gusto nila”, said Revillame.
Due to the success of the show, viewers challenged the host to give away a car or a house and lot if the number of subscribers in his channel would reach 10 million.
