Motorcycle Rider Dead After Crashing On Barrier Post In Makati City

MOTORCYCLE RIDER – A motorcycle rider died after he crashed on a barrier post in Ayala Ave., Makati City on Wednesday evening.

The rider, identified as Richard Casimiro, 43 years of age, was travelling from EDSA when he was thrown from his motorcycle atr around 10:53 in the evening on Wednesday, September 9, according to a report form ABS=CBN.

Police Exec. MSgt. Sulpicio Monterde of the Makati City Police vehicle traffic investigation unit reported that one of the motorcycle wheels collided with the concrete base of the said barrier post at the center lane near Makati stock exchange building.

The building’s guards heard a loud crash and discovered the rider lying down the ground.

The strong impact of the crash caused the said concrete base to break and some posts tumbled down. the motorcycle also received damages on its front.

Based on the report, investigation is still ongoing to determine if there are other vehicles involved in the incident.

ABS-CBN’s Anjo Bagaoisan also posted three photos of the incident on Twitter: one showing the area of the incident, one showing the tumbled barrier post, including the one collided with the motorcycle, and the last one showing the motorcycle itself.
