Liza Soberano Tells Netizen “Nasaktan Ako” After This Comment
LIZA SOBERANO NASAKTAN – Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano expressed her thoughts regarding the pardon granted to Lance Cpl. Joseph Scott Pemberton.
Yesterday, President Rodrigo Duterte gave a full pardon to Pemberton, who admitted to killing Jennifer Laude in a gruesome manner. However, despite this, Duterte said that we have treated the convicted felon unfairly.
As such, in one of Liza’s most recent tweets, she said:
So a murderer was just released for good conduct. Are we supposed to just forget that he killed Jennifer Laude because he’s done some good? #JusticeForJenniferLaude #TransLivesMatter
Around 5 years ago, Pemberton admitted to choking Laude until she was dead. He relayed in graphic detail exactly what he did to laude saying:
“I chocked it, wrapped my arms around it until it stopped moving, and dragged it towards the bathroom”.
As a response, a netizen on Twitter commented:
“What? Ang boba pala ng babeng ito. Now naniwala na talaga akong acting lang yung kunwaring matalino cya. Stick to your craft girl. Hwag masyadong pahalata na wala kang alam basic comprehension on laws & current events. Lening leni ang peg”.
To answer this, Liza simply said: “Ouch ang sakit nasaktan ako”.
Meanwhile, other netizens claimed that the pardon was given because Pemberton was granted a reduced sentence because of the GCTA law. Others said that the family had already been given blood money from the states. However, it was clearly noted that the payment to Laude’s family was separate from his criminal liability.
