Is the maternity shoot of Coleen Garcia copied from the motif of Gigi Hadid?
COLEEN GARCIA – Photographer BJ Pascual speaks over accusations about Coleen Garcia’s maternity shoot copied from that of Gigi Hadid’s.
Head and photographer behind the immaculate maternity photos of Coleen Garcia, famous BJ Pascual, slammed a post as he clarified some things to clear the accusations being thrown at them. On Twitter, Pascual stressed of respect for Filipino creatives as it is not easy to conceptualize shoots. The pregnant actress pulled off a Renaissance look in her shoot for first baby.
He was accused of copying the theme of Gigi Hadid‘s maternity shoot and put it to Coleen’s which they recently shared. But behind the accusations is the truth where everything was just coincidence for having similar themes. In his explanation, he clarified that Gigi’s shoot might have done before Coleen’s but they are confident that they didn’t copied it.
Accordingly, Gigi’s photos were posted on August 26 and they have done Coleen’s shoot on August 1 and it’s not like he has access to photos of her. He said, “Coleen’s photos were actually inspired by a combination of the Birth of Venus by Boticelli and The Swing (and partially The Meeting) by Jean Honor Fragonard.”
The runway regular model’s shoot was done last July and was only posted in August 26. Clearly, BJ and his team did not copy anything. Gigi has stayed mostly private throughout her pregnancy because she believes that a lot of issues out there needs more attention than her pregnancy. She is 25 years old while Zayn Malik, the father, is 27.

In a previous article, on the other hand, giving birth amid the pandemic, the Kapamilya artist shared she wanted to deliver her baby in a normal and natural way. She also shared she’s watching birthing classes online and it seems like it would be difficult for her. Coleen is bound to give birth in September.
