Actress Bea Alonzo shared what she realized as she is now a self-confessed “plantita” and this is what she said on her recent Instagram post.
Amid the lockdown, several celebrities have unleashed their other talents while some explored other interests and hobbies. There were those who became experts in cooking and baking while some invested in the field of fitness and wellness.
Some celebrities took this opportunity also to help others, especially those who are in need. One of the popular hobbies that sprung out during the lockdown is cultivating various kinds of plants. Those who started to take care of plants in their homes are now being called “plantita” and “plantito”.

Aside from helping others through her own foundation I AM HOPE, Bea Alonzo found her passion in taking care of her plants. The self-confessed “plantita” shared her realization from her new hobby.
In her recent Instagram post, the actress shared that this hobby teaches people of hope. “Audrey Hepburn once said —- ‘To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. When I was wondering why we suddenly became all plantitas, I chanced upon this quote, and it made sense,” she said.
“Aside from all the benefits of plants, of course, I think it’s also because it represents HOPE of a better tomorrow,” the actress added. She also asked her social media followers to share how many plants they have.
