PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates for Friday (August 28)

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA continues to monitor the LPA near Aurora while the habagat would bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Friday (August 28, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Low-Pressure Area was spotted at 1,075 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora. The southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions over the rest of Visayas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the Luzon would be moderate. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are also expected over the Visayas and Mindanao, according to the weather bureau.
