Pasay City LGU Will Convert 300 Shipping Containers as Isolation Rooms
Pasay City local government will convert the 300 shipping containers to isolation rooms for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients.
The conversion of about 300 shipping containers in Pasay local government is about to be finished. According to the Pasay City public information office on Thursday, in addition to the beds, each container is equipped with airconditioning units, toilets, and baths.
Containers are located at the Mall of Asia Complex and Cultural Center of the Philippines complex. Based on their Facebook post, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano thoroughly inspected the container vans being converted into new isolation rooms.

The post added that this is the result of help from Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar after being asked by Mayor Emi. This is to make the worth and use of the container vans.
According to the report of ABS-CBN News, Pasay PIO chief Eduardo Burgos Jr. said that within 2 weeks it is possible to use the newly built isolation rooms. City health office staff will screen patients who will be accommodated at this quarantine facility.
