Relative Says Owner of Motorcycle Suspected Planted in Jolo, Sulu Blast is Innocent

The owner of the motorcycle involved in the Jolo, Sulu blast and suspected to be planted and cause of the blast is innocent, relative said online.

On August 24, 2020, a back-to-back explosion rock downtown Jolo, Sulu around noon. The incident left 15 people killed including 4 soldiers, and 75 other wounded.

Based on the previous article, local police confirmed the blast came from a woman who carried the explosives cause heavy damage to the area. It was also reported that there was a motorcycle carrying IED explosives that detonated in Brgy. Walled City, Jolo, Sulu.

Meanwhile, a netizen named Mammar Esmun Sangkula Jammar claimed to be the relative of the owner of the motorcycle suspected planted with explosives claimed that the owner is innocent of the incident.

According to his post, the motorcycle was newly bought by his brother. He said the reason why the motorcycle was around the area is that his brother was favored by his cousin to go to town Jolo for laptop repair.

“Alam ninyo kung bakit sila na punta jan sa town ng jolo sulu. Sinabihan ang kapatid ko ng pinsan nya na samahan daw sya papuntang jolo kasi my ipapaayos syang sirang loptap,” Jammar said.

He added that his brother was also a victim of the incident. He also claims that if the explosives were planted in the motorcycle it wouldn’t be still there and some of its body parts will be shred into pieces.

Meanwhile, his Facebook post has gone viral on social media as many netizens express their reactions. Netizens agreed to the claims of Jammar about the vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.
