PAGASA – Tropical Depression Igme, Habagat To Bring Rains Over Parts Of PH This August 22, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 22, 2020 (Saturday).

The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the Tropical Depression Igme and southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with occasionally heavy rains.

According to GMA News, Tropical Depression Igme was last spotted at 285 kilometers north northeast of Basco town in Batanes. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. Igme is moving northward at 15 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon or habagat will be affecting Luzon.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, the western and northern sections of northern Luzon will face moderate to strong winds that are moving southwestward while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will face moderate winds that are moving in the southwest to south direction while facing moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to south direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
