Here’s what ‘Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin’ director said about Jodi Sta Maria
Director FM Reyes commended the acting of Jodi Sta Maria in the new teleserye titled Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.
Jodi’s success in the showbiz industry came with years of expertise in doing various projects, from youth oriented show to family-oriented TV series. Her recent project is a drama series with prominent names in the industry such Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, Iza Calzado, and Sam Milby.
Based on the article from Bandera, Jodi’s acting shocked the director. During the recent Kapamilya Online Live, Direk FM shared his reaction to what he saw in Jodi’s performance.

The director specifically cited the scene where the character of Jodi and Iza met after a long time. “Bihira akong humanga sa artista, pero itong si Jodi, sa dami ng imememoryang script, na salita, mag-me-memorize ng blocking, at ang pinakamahirap, mag-memorize ng emotion,” the director of the teleserye revealed.
Direk FM also gave a moniker for Jodi Sta Maria. He calls her the “the silent superstar”. “I gave her around 10 units of emotion. Namangha ako, napanganga ako, because she nailed it, doon sa paghaharap nila ni Iza,” he added.
The director encouraged the audience watch how detailed Jodi is when it comes to her acting as he said that the scene was really difficult.
When Jodi Sta Maria was asked about her character in the new series, she said that it was really difficult and complex. She even doubted herself is she can give justice to the character.
“Ang hirap niya, napaka complex. Ang daming nangyayari sa loob, pero ibang-iba ‘yung pinapakita niya sa labas,” the actress shared.
