Steve Dailisan’s Father Passes Away Due To This Medical Condition

The father of Steve Dailisan passed away

Former GMA reporter Steve Dailisan is mourning over the death of his father Sancho Dailisan who passed away at the age of 70.

From being on TV for the GMA News and Public Affairs, Steve chose to pursue his dream to become a pilot. However, he had to face a big obstacle when the travel and tourism industry got affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the problem of losing his job, Steve was faced with another obstacle again. Based on the article from PEP, the father of the former reporter complained of having back pain and fever on Friday. The 70-year-old father was rushed to the hospital when he can no longer recognize.

Tapos kanina, biglang wala na siya sa sensorium. Until the doctors say na he is in coma now. Sana po, maka-recover ang daddy,” Steve said talking to PEP on August 17.

A few hours after that, Sancho Dailisan passed away on August 17, 6 p.m., at a hospital in San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan. Based on the report, the cause of death was “cardiogenic shock secondary to gastro intestinal bleeding (and possible cerebral hemorrhage) as manifested by acute kidney injury and minor pneumonia (viral vs bacterial).”

Steve Dailisan was not there during the last moments of his father because he has to go to work in his new company after losing his first job as a pilot.

He has to do that because he will be the one who will pay for the hospital bill. “Alam niyo naman po na nagsisimula pa lang akong bumangon,” Steve said.

He also shared that he was on his way home when he knew about the sad news. In his Facebook post, he said this emotional words for his father:

“I was looking forward to take you inside the real cockpit one day… I could’ve been the happiest if I was given the chance to pilot your flight to your hometown in Aklan. But what can I say Dad? You went ahead to your dream destination in the loving arms of God. Never thought that I’d be writing something so excruciatingly painful in my wall.”
