PAGASA – LPA To Bring Scattered Rains Over Parts Of PH This August 17, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 17, 2020 (Monday).

The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the low pressure area is expected to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon.

According to GMA News, the Southwest Monsoon or habagat is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Habagat will also bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the rest of Central Luzon, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga Region.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers expected in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during times of moderate or heavy rainfall; or severe thunderstorms,

The LPA was last spotted at 3 AM at about 135 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan.

The entire archipelago will face slight to moderate coastal waters. The sun has risen at about 5:43 AM and is expected to set at about 6:18 PM.
