A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz allegedly received offers from GMA and TV5 following the shutting down of ABS-CBN.

Since Lloydie started his career in the entertainment industry, she has always been affiliated with ABS-CBN and its talent management company Star Magic.

Throughout his career, he showed his caliber when it comes to acting in whatever genre of project that may be. However, his sudden hiatus shocked many showbiz enthusiasts. Early this year, talks about his showbiz comeback became a loud topic within the entertainment circle.

However, due to the COVID-19, whatever project he has started doing took a halt. The fact that the franchise of his home network was not renewed also affected the unexpected scenario.

Based on the article by Abante columnist Rose Garcia, some ABS-CBN shows are set to be shown on TV5 and two of them are the shows directed by Edgar Mortiz – Banana Split and Home Sweetie Home. However, it was said that the Kapatid network is interested to cater to all the cast members of the shows.

According to Garcia, TV5 is interested to have John Lloyd Cruz as he was originally part of the sitcom with Toni Gonzaga. The columnist added that the network’s plan is to talk to the A-list actor if he wants to have his TV comeback or perhaps it’s on the process already.

Garcia added in her article that even before ABS-CBN stopped its broadcast, GMA was already interested to offer Lloydie a project. She said that this goes to show that if an artist is really talented, offers will be always there and fans would always anticipate.
