EDU MANZANO – Veteran actor and politician Edu Manzano has this comment as to how young Mayor Vico Sotto leads Pasig City.
Of good governance and leadership he displayed as Mayor of Pasig City, Vico Sotto, a celebrity son, became known in the country. This he showed amid the pandemic. People have loved him for as young as him, he was able to prove that he can do so much better than those who have been in the field for so many years.
Even before and during the lockdown, he was able to do disinfection to public places, distributed disinfecting kits to his people, deployed disinfection drones, launched of “mobile palengke“, provided Earth-friendly shuttles to help frontliners go to work, food packs with canned goods and bigas to people living in poverty-stricken communities, and many others.
With this, a veteran actor who turned politician Edu Manzano commented on his leadership in Pasig. He commended him for doing effective ways without self-promoting amid this health crisis. He retweeted the post of the young mayor over the symptoms of COVID-19 and if anyone experiences such, they can immediately call the landline number he posted.
In his post on Twitter, Manzano said, “For someone so young this Mayor seems to know a lot about effective messaging. No self-promotion. Kudos to you Mayor Vico. (BTW, I’ve never met the Mayor)”
He ran for Vice Mayor in Makati City in 1998 and won. Last 2010, he ran as the Lakas-Kampi-CMD’s candidate for Vice President and in 2016, he ran in the Senate. He lost in both said position.
