Cathy Garcia Molina To Direct Upcoming Liza Soberano-Enrique Gil Film
LIZA SOBERANO – Talent manager Ogie Diaz just confirmed Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are set to star in a new movie.
Kapamilya real-life couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were fist seen in the tv series Forevermore in 2014. Following the success of their program, LizQuen did 2 movies in 2015: “Just The Way You Are” and “Everyday, I Love You.”
Their latest teleserye “Make It With You” was cancelled due to coronavirus fears. Liza said she’s heartbroken over the situation and apologized to her fans because they could not give them the ending they deserve.
Based on a report from PUSH, Liza Soberano’s manager Ogie Diaz said LizQuen is set to star in their next big screen project. Filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina will be directing their upcoming film. Diaz confirmed this on Saturday night, August 8.
Ogie Diaz said they are not eager to start shooting because they prioritize the safety of the young actors. He said they will start shooting as soon as the COVID-19 cases in the country decrease.
“‘Pag bumaba lang yung bilang everyday ng COVID cases, pwede na sila mag-trabaho. Yun lang naman yun. Nakakatakot ngayon mag-trabaho kahit naka-lock in ka…”
“Syempre, hindi naman tayo mukhang pera. Long term tayo eh. Mas [concerned] ako sa health noong mga bata.” he added.
According to the report, Ogie Diaz shared Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s new movie will be directed by rom-com director Cathy Garcia-Molina. She worked with LizQuen in the tv series “Dolce Amore” and “Forevermore,” as well as the movie “My Ex and Whys.”
“Pero mayroon silang gagawing peikula. ‘Yung pelikula na ‘yun, maganda ang kwento. Kaya lang nga, hihintayin pa rin natin mag-subside itong bilang [ng COVID-19 cases]. Sila ay ila-lock in. Si Cathy Garcia-Molina ang magdi-direk niyan,” Ogie said.
