Health Workers Stage Protest For Fallen Frontliner
HEALTH WORKERS STAGE PROTEST – Medical workers from Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center held a protest and called for justice for a fallen frontliner.
The coronavirus pandemic has taken a heavy toll from the health workers in the Philippines. Due to the massive spike in COVID-19 cases, health workers in the Philippines have become overworked.
As such, the medical community recently called out the government and pleaded for a time out as they asked for another enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

According to the medical community, the number of COVID-19 cases increased after the ECQ in Metro Manila was converted into a general community quarantine (GCQ).
Following this, health workers from Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center held a protest for their colleague that died due to COVID-19. The workers held up banners that said “Justice for Bonn!”.
Additionally, the medical experts also called for the removal of Health Secretary Francisco Duque from his post. Along with this, they also wanted mass testing for medical workers as the Philippines also had one of the highest infection rates among frontliners.
