Based on the recent report from UNTV News and Rescue, Commissioner Aileen Lizada said that there are still 260,000 vacant plantilla positions in the government. They are encouraging all government agencies to take part in their online job fair and open all the vacant positions in their offices for application.

“We are allowing now the interviews online, submission of requirements online to make it more convenient to the transacting public,” Lizada said.

The CSC chief also reminded the government agencies to give the vacant position to people who are qualified to do the job and not to do reservations for those who are endorsed through connections.

Huwag na mag-reserve. Kasi ang iba naman dyan, sa totoo lang talaga, nagrereserve ng posisyon kasi mayroong manok na hindi pa eligible,” she stressed.

Lizada added that there are clerical positions to division heads with monthly pay based on the Salary Standardization Law that are still vacant.

As of press time, there are already 34 government agencies that will join the online job fair from September 14 to 18. Vacant positions are listed on jobstreet.com.ph and applicants are required to pass the Civil Service Exam.
