PAGASA – LPA, ITCZ To Affect Palawan, Mindanao This July 23, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this July 23, 2020.

The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the Low Pressure Area or LPA was last spotted at about 420 kilometers east of Hinatuan town in Surigao Del Sur.

According to GMA News, it is embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ and is affecting Palawan and Mindanao.

The two weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mundanao.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ or localized thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the forecast wind speed, the entire archipelago will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to southeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun has risen at about 5:37 AM and is expected to set at 6:28 PM.
