Director Reveals How Actress Angel Locsin Saved Stuntman’s Life

ANGEL LOCSIN – A tv director named Lester Pimentel Ong lauded actress Angel Locsin for saving a stuntman’s life

Filipina actress Angel Locsin is admired by millions because of her passion for giving quality shows. She has starred in several action-drama tv-series and she seldom uses stunt doubles.

Fifteen years since she portrayed the fictional Pinoy comics superheroine, Darna, Angel has remained the most popular Darna. She was even hailed as the “real-life Darna.”

Angel Locsin has shown heroism behind the camera by taking part in the crisis, calamities, and various charitable causes. Last year, she was named “Hero of Philanthropy” by Forbes Asia.

On Monday, July 20, tv director Lester Pimentel Ong shared how Angel Locsin saved the life of a stuntman. In his Facebook post, he recalled when a stuntman on the set of “La Luna Sangre” got heavily injured. He said his injury was not work-related.

“Gusto ko lang share ang experience ko working with this person. There was one time, isa sa mga stuntmen namin got heavily injured, naputol ang pinakamalaking buto nya sa hita sa isang aksidente na hindi work related…”

“Ang pobreng stuntman, naospital sa orthopaedic center ng mahigit isang buwan, ubos ang ipon at malaking chance hindi na siya makakalakad muli dahil hindi na niya afford ang mga susunod pang operation na kailangan gawin,” he added.

Lester Ong shared that Angel visited the stuntman and paid his hospital bills. He described her as the “real Darna” and “a true hero behind the camera.”

“Siya si Angel Locsin, she is the real life Darna…hero sya kahit sa likod ng camera, kahit walang nakatingin at walang nakakaalam… I just need to share my story of her.”
