4 Staff Members of Vice President Test Positive for COVID-19 Amid Global Pandemic

STAFF MEMBERS OF VICE PRESIDENT – Four (4) members of the staff of VP Leni Robredo were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The COVID-19 fight in the Philippines is not yet over. That is why everyone is reminded to still be extra careful and not to let their guards down to prevent contracting the disease.

Every day, there are still fresh cases of this coronavirus disease that was first recorded in China. It was last December 2019 when it started infecting people in Wuhan City.

Starting January 2020, several other countries recorded their first cases of COVID-19. A person infected by this disease may manifest flu-like symptoms like fever and cough or not at all.

Several celebrities in the Philippines became coronavirus patients amid the global pandemic. There were also politicians and staff of politicians who tested positive for the disease.

Recently, four (4) staff members of Vice President Leni Robredo were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, one of them and the first one to test positive for the disease works for the COVID-19 response operations.

After a member of the staff tested positive for the disease, testing was done to other concerned employees. According to the report, three (3) more staff members of Vice President Leni Robredo tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Vice Pres. Robredo’s spokesman Barry Gutierrez, the office of the Vice President is currently close for disinfection. Contact tracing is also ongoing. The Vice President has also undergone COVID-19 test.
