VICE GANDA – Famous comedian and “Its Showtime” host Vice Ganda has this statement on Twitter that caught social media attention.
Heartbreaking is when biggest media company in the Philippines ABS-CBN officially closed down after 70 lawmakers decided to rejected their franchise renewal application. Many people marked the date July 10 and the lawmakers who never wanted network to air.
Above everything else, many famous personalities expressed sadness to people who lost their jobs. This is considering that at this present time, to find a job is difficult as many businesses and companies have also been closing due to the economical effects of the pandemic.
On Twitter, the Kapamilya star’s post stated, “Sa pagpapasara ng ABS CBN mawawalan ng malaking pagkakakitaan ang mga Lopez. Pero sigurado akong di sila maghihirap. Napakayaman na nila para maghirap.”
But his post is not enclosed merely in the thought of Lopezes to suffer big loss, it furthered that the people who will truly and greatly suffer with the close down of the network are the employees. The media company employed over 11,000 people and have lost their jobs in this difficult time of a health crisis.
Vice added that if they thought they have successfully did it, they were wrong because it only resulted to something that’s worse and that is the thousands of people suffering from job loss.
He said, “Kaya kung inaakala nyong nagtagumpay kayo e nagkakamali kayo. Mali ang natarget nyo. Mali ang pinatay ninyo. At lahat yan ay mumultuhin at gagambalain kayo. Alam nyo kung sino kayo!”

What meme vice stated was entirely true, that 70 lawmakers are a truly failure. They hit not the Lopezes, they have plenty of wealth saved from their several decades of running the business. It will not make them pauper no matter what. Who’s more to suffer? The ordinary workers who lost their livings and jobs in the midst of this terrible pandemic.
