JUST IN: President Rodrigo Duterte To Have His SONA On July 27, 2020
PRESIDENT RODRIGO DUTERTE – President Rodrigo Duterte will have his SONA (State of the Nation Adress) on July 27, 2020.
According to DZMM Telereadyo, the SONA, which will be the fifth in his term, will be at the Batasan Pambansa Complex. This was a statement from Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

SONA, also known as the State of the Nation Address, is a constitutional obligation and yearly tradition where the chief executive, the president himself, reports the country’s status and reveals the government’s agenda for the coming year, according to the Official Gazette of the Philippiines.
President Rodrigo Duterte’s previous SONA, which was the Fourth. was held at the same venue in Quezon City on July 22, 2019.
In that SONA, he talked about drugs and corruption which are his campaign promises to the Filipinos as well as his fight against the two(2) continues.
Regarding the territorial dispute between the Philippines and China, he mentioned “avoidance of conflict”, stressing the result of war and admitted his unpreparedness for it.
