Lotlot de Leon Say She’s Proud of Janine Gutierrez For Voicing Out Her Opinion on Matters About The Country

LOTLOT DE LEON – Lotlot de Leon commended her daughter Janine Gutierrez for voicing out her opinion on issues happening in our country now.

Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed the Anti-terror Bill into law on July 3. The controversial bill aims to eradicate terrorism from the country.

Famous celebrities and personalities aired their reaction over the anti-terror bill. Most of them called on the government to junk the bill because it threatens freedom of speech.

Actress Janine Gutierrez joined the “Grand Mañanita” protest in UP Diliman. She joined various progressive groups who called for the junking of the controversial bill.

The Kapuso star documented her journey and shared it on her Twitter account. She also posted a photo of her with her sisters, Jessica and Max, on her IG account. It came with a caption, “Happy mañanita, Philippines We love you so much it hurts. #junkterrorbill.”

Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, Janine Gutierrez’s mom Lotlot de Leon said she’s aware that her daughter is among the most outspoken celebs who are critical of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration. “It’s very important that before you comment about anything, pag-aralan mo muna ‘yun. I trust my daughter. She speaks because she knows what she’s talking about, because she believes in something. Kasi may prinsipyo siya bilang Pilipino,” she said.

According to the report, Lotlot de Leon said anyone can express their opinion without hurting others. She commended her daughter for voicing out her opinion on matters about the country.

“Pero ang importante kasi, bilang Pilipino, ‘yung karapatan na mag-obserba sa kung ano sa palagay mo ang tama o mali na nangyayari sa bansa natin. Puwede ka naman maghayag ng opinyon mo nang hindi bastos…”

“I think she should just continue what she’s doing, and be the principled woman that she is. I’m very proud of her for doing that,” she added.
