Reaction of Actress Julia Barretto on ABS-CBN Being Denied of New Franchise
JULIA BARRETTO – The young Kapamilya actress reacted to the decision of the House Franchise Committee to deny ABS-CBN of a new franchise.
The ABS-CBN network faced a lot of issues. Two (2) months ago, they shut down their broadcast operation following a Cease and Desist Order released by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
The said order released by NTC is due to the expired franchise of the network. Twelve (12) hearings were held in the pursuit to apply for a new 25-year franchise.
Certain issues like the nationality of the network’s former chairman and the taxes it paid were discussed. There are supporters of the Kapamilya network and there are also those who do not want it to be given a new franchise.
