Areas Of Barangay Dela Paz Lockdown As Coronavirus Cases Double

BARANGAY DELA PAZ LOCKDOWN – Two parts of Brgy. Dela Paz in Antipolo City was placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to doubling COVID-19 cases.

According to a report from ABS-CBN, two areas within the Barangay had local transmissions of the new coronavirus. As such, authorities have decided to quarantine the area for a week.

The lockdown started this Saturday in Sitio LogCom and Piña Alley in Sitio Phase 4B in Barangay Dela Paz. Aside from the lockdown, the local government units said they would also conduct expanded and targeted testing in the area.

Furthermore, those who would be found positive for COVID-19 in the rapid tests would be brought to a quarantine facility where they would for the results of their swab tests. As per the report, while under lockdown, nobody but authorized personnel are allowed to leave their homes.

These include medical frontliners, those working in the medical field, workers, and people who have medical emergencies. Meanwhile, foodpacks would also be given to families as they are kept inside for a week.

Along with this, authorities would also place checkpoints and police around the barangay exits to create a single entry and exit point to limit the movement of residents and those trying to get into the area.
