Fifteen Individuals Nabbed For Illegal Carabao Racing
ILLEGAL CARABAO RACING – Around fifteen individuals were recently arrested in Pulilan town, Bulacan for illegal carabao racing.
According to GMA News’ Balitambayan, among the arrested were one barangay kagawad and six individuals that are of minor age.
Retrieved from the suspects were eight imported carabaos that were used for racing.
The fifteen suspects claimed that there were no illegal racing involved, adding that they were simply practicing.
Based on the report, the suspects will be charged for illegal gambling and violation of Bayanihan to Heal as One Act or known as Republic Act No. 11469.
The arrested minors were eventually turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
