Man Steals 2 Cans Of Premium Luncheon Meat, Gets Jailed
MAN STEALS LUNCHEON MEAT – A shoplifter was arrested by the authorities for stealing 2 cans of premium luncheon meat.
According to reports, the suspect shoplifted the items from a grocery store in Paco, Manila. After he was caught, he got arrested and was jailed at the police station on Friday afternoon.
Admittedly, the effects of COVID-19 has hit millions of Filipinos. Thousands have lost their jobs and many were left hungry. However, the arrested suspect was apparently hungry for luncheon meat.

Based on an article from Inquirer, the Manila Police district said that the suspect was a resident of Balagtas in Bulacan. Furthermore, he was captured by the security officers of Super 8 retail Systems Inc.
Afterward, the security personnel recovered 2 cans of premium luncheon meat valued at P381. Following this, he was turned over to the Paco Police Community Precinct.
Meanwhile, the police also identified the thief as a pedicab driver and believed that he was a member of a gang. Upon custody of the police, he underwent a medical check-up and was turned over to the Ermita Police Station.
As per the article, the luncheon meat had been recovered and the suspect has been charged for theft thru shoplifting. The case will be processed before the Manila City’s Prosecutor Office.
