Two Women In Taguig City Arrested For Illegal Drugs

TWO WOMEN IN TAGUIG CITY – Two women were recently arrested in a buy-bust operation in Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

According to ABS-CBN News, they were arrested by operatives from the Northern Police District.

The suspects were identified under the aliases Sittie, aged 41 years, and Julie, aged 18 years.

Northern Police District’s drug enforcement unit chief Police Captain Ramon Aquiatan Jr. reported that Sittie was pointed as the source of a drug personality they arrested earlier in Brgy. 28, Caloocan.

Based on the report, retrieved from the suspects were shabu which is worth P2,040,000. the police reported that Sittie is the supplier for street pushers and sold drugs to her accomplices via online before delivering them to their homes.

Sittie and Julie will be charged for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Meanwhile, earlier in Marikina City, a suspected drug trader was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation.

The suspect was arrested in a condominium unit on June 25 by the NBI’s International Operations Division (NBI-IOD).

The police retrieved illegal drugs worth at about P13 million, among them were two kilograms of shabu, .5 grams of cocaine, as well as firearms and electronic devices.

The suspect will be charged for violating Section 28 of Republic Act 10591, Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act; Section 11 of R.A. 9165, Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; Section 3 of Commonwealth Act No. 142, Regulating the Use of Alias.
