Among the people who were arrested on a bar in Barangay Bel-Air were local and foreign customers who were caught not wearing a face mask.

Makati police chief Colonel Oscar Jalido said that the operation was executed after authorities received a tip that the bar did not observe physical distancing.

“Akala nila hindi namin sila papansinin. So they were showing the live feed of their drinking, dancing, they’re partying na parang wala silang pakialam sa nangyayaring pandemic sa bansa natin,”

The GCQ protocol also restricted the operation of the bar itself. Montero added that he and his wife was dining out and saw that the bar was open.

“That place was open before so parang feeling ko, okay. Why were they open if they’re not allowed to open? Maybe that’s my fault, I didn’t do my research,”

Based on the report, the 20 employees were also arrested. The bar owner’s group claimed that they observed the reduced operating capacity of 30% in restaurants. Despite this the bar owner will be charged for multiple operations.

“‘Yong mga gustong mag-party na, medyo i-hold lang muna, darating tayo diyan. Malalim ‘tong kinakaharap nating problema sa COVID-19 so kung ‘di tayo magtulungan definitely walang mangyayari sa atin,”
