Barangay Kagawad in Davao City Stab to Death After Scolding Noisy Residents
DAVAO CITY – A barangay kagawad was stab to death after scolding residents who are still up making loud noise amid curfew hours.
A 64-year-old barangay kagawad (council), resident in Binugao, Toril, Davao City was killed after being attacked while responding to disloyal residents who are reportedly making loud noise even the curfew hours is in effect.

The victim was identified as Danilo Ampong Calinawan Sr.; he has been declared dead on arrival when he was brought to the hospital. His death caused by two stab wounds to his abdomen, based on the report of RMN.
According to police, the victim went to a group when they heard them yelling while curfews existed in the city. However, instead of obeying, Rolando Abellana Herman, the suspect, grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim.
Shortly before becoming unconscious, Calinawan pulled out a gun and shot the culprit. Herman’s condition is critical for having multiple gunshot wounds on different parts of the body.
