Frankie Pangilinan calls NBI’s probe on her basher “crap”
Recording artist Frankie Pangilinan reacted to the initiative of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the harassment threat from her basher.
Frankie is vocal about her advocacy to defend fellow women or anyone else against abuse and harassment. She started the #HijaAko movement on social media which became a way for former host Kat Alano to reveal that she was abused by “rhymes with wrong“. That hint is being connected to It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro.
One of her recent posts, which is now deleted, Frankie issued a statement regarding the harassment accusations against pop star Justine Bieber and Riverdale star Cole Sprouse.
Because of her views regarding abuse against women, a netizen has threatened to harass the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis Pangilinan.
As a mother, Sharon defended her daughter and she has been active these past few days on social media exposing the bashers of Frankie in which Lolit Solis said is the current “warpath” of the Megastar.
In a previous report, NBI Cybercrime Division chief Victor Lorenzo said that a directive was already given to NBI OIC Eric Distor to look on this matter.
Apparently, due to this, several netizens bashed Frankie Pangilinan for the alleged “privilege” she has when in fact there are a lot of victims who haven’t got the justice they deserve.
With this, Frankie shared her reaction to the initiative of the NBI against the harassment threat she received. “I had no idea about that NBI crap and it’s really upsetting me if one vile tweet against me is more important to them than several real cases of sexual assault and rape,” she said.
She also apologized for the “injustice” and the issue has become bigger than what she has expected.
“It was something that hurt me briefly and that was it. It shouldn’t take precedence over anyone else’s cases, most especially those more grave, and I truly hate that it might,” Frankie added.
The recording artist also said that she will “fix it”.
However, netizens pointed out that it was her mom who called out the attention of the authorities regarding this matter.
