Singapore-Base BPO Firm to Hire 2,000 Filipino work-from-home Employees

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm Singapore-base will hire 2,000 Filipino to work from home amid coronavirus pandemic.

Singapore-base business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Everise Holdings Inc. has announced that the company is seeking 2,000 work-from-home staffs in the Philippines to strengthen its operations in Manila.

“We are a people-first company who has entrepreneurship and innovation in our DNA,” Everise founder and chief executive officer Sudhir Agarwal said.

In a statement Monday, Everise said they want to increase their 3,000 staff in the Philippines and 12,000 worldwide.

 “It is critical that we live these values during a crisis to offer a superior brand experience.”

According to Everise, over the past two years they have spent millions of dollars on equipment, personnel training, infrastructure and security practices for their staff to work in homes, based on the report of GMA News.

“We engineered home-based operations such as remote recruiting, virtual training and on-boarding, and business intelligence,” Agarwal said.

“As a result, all of our solutions, including omnichannel customer service, tech support, fraud detection, and community moderation, chatbots and natural language interactive voice response systems, can be delivered from home,” he added.

Based on the report, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III earlier said an estimated 6,000 job openings in the BPO industry came from the resurgence of the aforementioned industry in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
