Antonio Trillanes IV Dares Dares Palace To Appoint Leni Robredo As Head of IATF
LENI ROBREDO – Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV dared the Palace to appoint Vice President Leni Robredo to lead COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
On Wednesday, Palace spokesman Harry Roque advised Vice President Leni Robredo that she should offer solutions instead of criticizing the alleged poor efforts in bringing the stranded individuals to their homes amid the lockdown. He said, “I just wish the Vice President could actually offer solutions.”
Marawi civic leader Samira Gutoc reacted following Roque’s statement about Robredo. He said “Mars, wag mo hintaying malaman ni VP Leni na kayo ang tunay na problema. Baka kayo mismo, solusyunan niya rin. Biro lang Mars! Peace!”
Based on a report from Inquirer, former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV released a statement following Roque’s remarks against VP Leni Robredo. He dared the Malacañang Palace to appoint Robredo as the head of COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF). He believes that the government’s COVID-19 response would be more effective if the vice president lead the IATF.
“If Malacanang really wants to flatten the curve, then it should appoint Vice President Robredo to be the IATF chair…”
“Kung si Vice President Leni ang mamumuno at magpapatakbo ng IATF, mas marami itong magagawa at siguradong mas maganda ang kampanya natin laban sa COVID-19,” he added.

According to the report, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s staunchest critic slammed the Presidential spokesman for saying that Leni Robredo should give a solution rather than criticizing the government’s COVID-19 efforts. He asked if Roque was just turning blind eye to Robredo’s initiative amid the pandemic.
“Bulag ba o nagbubulag-bulagan itong si Roque sa mga nagawa at kasalukuyang ginagawang pagtulong ng Bise Presidente sa ating mga kababayan sa harap ng pandemyang ito?”
“Kung ang amo ni Roque na si Duterte ay patulog-tulog, si Vice President Leni ay halos wala nang pahinga sa paghahanap ng mga paraan kung paano makatutulong sa mga Pilipino,” Trillanes said.
Based on the report, Antonio Trillanes accused the chief executive of silencing the critics rather than finding solutions to help the Pinoys. He said the president ordered web of checkpoints instead of COVID-19 mass testing and contact tracing.
