Drugs Worth P87K Seized In Bacolod City, Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized at about P87,000 worth of crystal meth in separate busts in the city from June 15 to 16.

According to SunStar, this also led to the arrest of the following suspects:

  • Rey Canselo, aged 32, of Barangay Rumirang, Isabela
  • Ronald Pasaporte, aged 36, of Barangay Alijis
  • Nino Castro, aged 27, of Barangay Mansilingan
  • Pearlseabal Novicio, aged 27, of Barangay Mansilingan
  • John Lester Gaturian, aged 22, of Barangay Vista Alegre
  • Ma. Luth Tolentino, aged 42, of Barangay 2

BCPO spokesperson Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico said that Canselo, Pasaporte, Castro, and Novicio were nabbed by operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).

This was after they sold shabu to a poseur-buyer at Regent Pearl Subdivision, Barangay Alijis around 11 AM Tuesday.

Recovered from them were 10 sachets of shabu weighing five grams with estimated market value of P55,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Based on the report, Gaturian was arrested by Police Station 6 operatives in Purok Sunrise, Barangay Taculing around 11:11 PM on June 15.

Recovered from Gaturian were 10 sachets of shabu weighing 1.4 grams with estimated market value of P16,000, and the P500 marked money..

Lastly, Tolentino was nabbed by Police Station 2 operatives in Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2 at around 9:30 PM on Monday.

Recovered from Tolentino were six sachets of shabu weighing two grams with estimated market value of P16,000, and the P300 marked money.

The sis suspects are currently under the custodial facilities of Police Stations 2, 6, and 7. They will further be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
