Pinay Actress Anita Linda Passes Away at 95
ANITA LINDA – The veteran Filipina actress Anita Linda passed away at the age of 95, According to director Adolf Alix Jr.
On Wednesday (June 10, 2020), Director Adolf Alix announced that the veteran actress passes away at 6:15 am on his Instagram account. However, he did not reveal Anita Linda’s cause of death.
“This is a very sad day for me. I am trembling as I am gathering my thoughts… The great Anita Linda has passed away this morning at 6:15AM. Prayers for her soul.
My condolences to her family and her children, Francesca Legaspi and Fred Osburn,” Alix wrote on his post.
Alice Buenaflor Lake or popularly known as Anita Linda is a Pinay actress who rose to fame after playing romantic lead roles during her youth. She also received two-time FAMAS award and Gawad Urian award.
The old actress has been featured in numerous Filipino movies, television commercials, and programs such as “Presa” of Adolfo Alix, Jr. “Sisa” and “Ang Sawa sa Lumang Simboryo” of Gerardo de Leon, as well as “Lola” of Brillante Mendoza.
She is also considered as the oldest active Filipina actress playing roles in several shows despite her old age.
