Here’s the reaction of Joey de Leon to what Jokoy said
Filipino-American comedian Jokoy had this revelation about the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines Eat Bulaga and this received a reaction the Henyo Master Joey de Leon.
The trio, where Joey belongs with Tito Sotto and Vic Sotto or the TVJ, has become part of the history of TV shows in the country. For 4 decades, they have provided laughter and entertainment to many households, along with the Dabarkads.
Eat Bulaga has opened doors to showbiz to several celebrities in the industry. This has become a stepping stone to many to have a shot under the spotlight.
One of the big names in the entertainment industry who shared his own story about the variety show is Jokoy. He has been known for his Netflix Specials that showcased his comedic skits all over the world.
Apparently, Jokoy also had his vivid memory regarding the show. Joey de Leon shared an art card on his Instagram account stating what the stand-up comedian revealed about Eat Bulaga.
“Eat Bulaga. I used to watch Tito, Vic, and Joey. Those were my inspirations. Before I even knew what American style comedy was, Filipino variety shows were my inspiration,” Jokoy said.
This received a reaction from the Henyo Master. “I know why you like Eat Bulaga…because of Tito, VICKS and Joey! God bless you tukayo!” the EB host said.
It is known to many fans of Jokoy that he has his famous and funny VICKS story. Since his mother is a Filipina, the said medication for colds and cough, has been used for other health concern, even his son’s insomnia.
