Van Driver Killed By Fellow Driver In Bacolod City, Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – A van driver was recently stabbed to death by his fellow van driver in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, according to the police.

According to ABS-CBN News, the victim, identified as Raul Janagat of Lopez Jaena Street, Barangay 31 in the city, was approached and stabbed to death by the suspect on Saturday morning, based on CCTV.

The suspect further stabbed Janagat as he tumbled to the floor.

Local city Police Station 6 Captain Elmer Bonilla said that both Janagat and the suspect, as well as their companions were having a drinking spree on Friday evening.

The suspect had a fight with one of his friends. Janagat suddenly joined in and fought the suspect.

Based on the report, the suspect, whose identity was undisclosed, said that he was threatened by Janagat via text message.

The suspect claimed that he was chased by the victim, who allegedly held a gun, but he escaped because he doesn’t want to fight. He initally wanted to file a blotter against the victim to the police.

When the suspect approached their vans at the terminal, that’s when the crime happened. He will be charged for murder.
