85 Tondo Tricycle Drivers Received Relief Goods Instead of Violation Ticket
TONDO, MANILA – 85 tricycle drivers who was caught for resuming operation without permission received relief goods instead of violation tickets.
In a Twitter post of Isa Avendaño-Umali, over 85 tricycle drivers were apprehended for resuming on operation without permission at the ease of community quarantine in Metro Manila. But instead of violation ticket, they received unexpected help from the authorities.
Their fear turned into excitement because instead of citing a violation ticket after they were apprehend, they were given relief goods. The operation was led by MPD Station 2 commander Lt. Col. Magno Gallora who apprehended tricycle drivers in Dagupan.
Drivers are told to have social distance with each other and after being scolded and explain what they should do when allowed to operate, they were given relief packs and free face masks.
Gallora said Monday that tricycles can be parked but they should follow health protocols such as wearing a face mask, only one passenger per trip, and should put a plastic divider and alcohol on the tricycle.
