PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (May 30)
LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the easterlies is expected to bring cloudy skies and rains over some parts of the Philippines.
On Saturday (May 30, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates. The easterlies would continue to affect the weather condition over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.
PAGASA reported that the easterlies or localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rainshowers over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet, and Aurora.
The same weather condition is also expected over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country. The weather agency also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides in the affected areas during severe thunder storms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao would be slight to moderate due to the light to moderate wind from east moving towards the southeast direction.
Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are also expected over the rest of Luzon due to the light to moderate wind speed moving from southeast to south direction, according to the weather bureau.
