Heartbreaking Photos of Demolition Operation Amid Pandemic Shared by Disappointed Lady Netizen
A lady netizen has posted the heartbreaking photos of residents picking up debris during a demolition operation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Philippines is now under a state of calamity due to the rampant spread of the coronavirus disease. Most Filipino people lose their livelihoods as the government placed some parts of the country under community quarantine.
The government and private organizations are already doing their best to help our less-fortunate countrymen. Everyone should revive the spirit of “Bayanihan”, unity, and considerations towards others during the health crisis.
A Facebook user named Catrina Verdaje Digman has shared the heartbreaking photos of residents picking up what was left after the demolition. The photos garnered various reactions from the netizens.
In the photos, it can be seen that the some residents are picking up some debris left after the demolition operation in Kapak, Brgy 12 in Caloocan. The demolition happened amid the coronavirus-related lockdown.
Digman questioned the demolition team if there is a memorandum that approved the operation. She also reminded the personnel responsible for the demolition that most owners of the demolished stores have no other source of income.

“Nasan yung hustisya? Ngayon lockdown pa talaga niyo naisipang mag demolish ng kapak! 😠 Talagang tinapat nyo ano po! Nasan po yung memo ng demolition may binaba po ba kayo sa mga nag titinda sa kapak? Pano nalang yung ibang mga tao saan mamimili? Ngayon pang nakakatanggap pa tayo ng discrimination sa mga taga iba’t ibang kalapit brgy. Oh edi walang social distancing nangyari? 🙄 Sino ba mag aakala may mag dedemolish sa ganto sistwasyon na naka hardlockdown? Diba wala? Puso naman please! 😑 Kung may mali man po sa kapak or may nilabag na batas, sana hindi sa ganto sitwasyon , mga nakaka iintindi naman mga tao jan kung kailangan umalis , aalis naman yang mga yan!
