Retired Policeman Shot To Death In Front Of His House In Cebu City
CEBU CITY – A former police officer was recently shot to death by a lone assailant in front of his home in Camp Marina, Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City.
According to a report from SunStar, the ex-cop, identified as Brazilio Borinaga, succumbed to his wounds in the head and various parts of the body.
A helper from the Borinanga family witnessed the incident, which terrified him and med him hid in the kitchen.
The helper testified that he was accompanying Borinaga and his wife in buying vegetables prior to the crime. The Borinagas run a store along the main road in Camp Marina.
The helper added that they did not notice someone following them. After parking his vehicle by the road side, the ex-cop and his wife entered the house. The helper followed while carrying their purchases.
As per the report, Guadalupe Police Station Chief Police Major Janelito Marquez said that they are currently probing to know the identity of the lone gunman and determine the motive behind the killing.
Probers will check the security cameras from nearby houses to identify the suspect. The ex-cop’s wife said that Borinaga did not tell her of any threat on his life.
