“I will find the details of Mang Dodong and we will issue a directive to balance–we don’t really know the circumstances sa baba–we will encourage our policemen to balance between those who have less in life, sabi nga nila, must have more in law,” he told ANC.

“Generally ang guidelines namin sa kapulisan, you have to balance sometimes yung humanitarian aspect as against kailan mo iimpose ang law,” he added.

Gamboa also said that the PNP updates the list of authorized persons allowed outside their home, based on the report of ABS-CBN News. The PNP recently warned quarantine violators in areas where lockdown measures are still on effect.

Previously, Mang Dodong was detained for over a week after being arrested for violation of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) at the Navotas Fish Port where he buys fish to sell. Joseph “Dodong” Jimeda, 58, was arrested after he fails to present the quarantine pass of Navotas, which he didn’t have because he was a resident of Caloocan.

He was detained without his family knowing it. Fortunately, he was able to bail out with the help of concerned residents and generous people who process the requirements to get him out of jail.
