Pasig Mayor Auctions off Own Motorcycle for COVID-19 Efforts

PASIG CITY- Pasig Vice Mayor auctions off his own motorcycle to raise funds to help people in need and affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Pasig City Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo is now letting go his personal motorcycle just to help constituents who are greatly affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This aims to raise funds and provide assistance to frontliners and families in Pasig.

According to Bernardo, he will include his Kawasaki Vulcan S650 motorcycle in his “Sneakers Auction for a Cause” fundraising initiative. His charitable activity was first launched in March.

He first auctions his shoe collection, which he has already sold 220 sneakers and raised over P340,000 as of now. Aside from shoes and motorcycle, Bernardo will also include sports memorabilia and other valuable items in his auction, based on the report of GMA News.

Bernardo also thanked the donors. This includes celebrities, basketball players, and vloggers, assuring them that their help “will go a long way.”

Previously, Cainta Mayor Kit Nieto also auctions his shoe collections to raise funds for COVID-19 aid to give it to his constituents. The Mayor will be auctioning 3 pairs of shoes every day until the enhanced community quarantine ends or until his shoe collection runs out.
