Willie Revillame was thought as a “scammer”
A lucky winner of Wowowin‘s segment mistook host Willie Revillame for a scammer and here’s his reaction to that.
Under the modified enhanced community quarantine, live TV programs are still not allowed to conduct shows in studios. For the meantime, Kuya Wil continues to give prizes to his avid viewers through phone calls.
Previously, one winner called him “gago”, thinking that it was just a scam. This same scenario happened again in the recent episode of the Kapuso game show.
Doing the usual routine of the segment “Samalat, Shopee”, he called and waited for the winner to answer the call. When the winner said hello, Willie burst with “ten thousand bigay ng Shopee.” Then, the host asked for the winner’s name and the reply was, “hello po.”
Willie repeated that the winner won a cash prize from the online shopping company. There was a brief silence after that, then, the winner said, “scam ata ‘to. Scam ata ‘to eh.”
Then, with his “galit-galitan” mood, Kuya Wil said that he knows the name of the caller. “Oh, scam ba yan, si Willi ‘to! Si Willie Revillame ito. Nanonood ka ba?” the host said.
He also joked that they are giving away spam but they are not a scam. The winner, answered, “i-open ko pa po ang TV”, then, she laughed. The Wowowin host just danced along with the music and laughed also.
Meanwhile, Willie Revillame previously expressed that he wants OPM hitmakers to guest in his show because he knows that these artists deserve recognition for what they have contributed to the music industry.
