Mayor Isko Moreno To Distribute Food Packs & Hygiene Kits to Public School Students in Manila

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said that the public school students in the city would receive food packs and hygiene kits amid the health crisis.

Isko Moreno said that around 275, 000 public schools students from kindergarten to Grade 12 in the City of Manila would receive the assistance as the coronavirus disease continue to affect the livelihoods of our poor countrymen.

The City Mayor said that the government with the help of school principals would start the distribution of the items next week. They would also form a database of students classified per barangay.

“Sa tulong ng inyong mga principal ay idedeliver namin sa inyong kanya-kanyang mga barangay,” Moreno said for an efficient delivery and tracking of the aids.

Moreno also informed the recipient that only parents and official guardians are allowed to receive the food packs and hygiene kits.

Previously, the 45-year-old politician announced tat another P1,000 financial assistance from the local government would be distributed to around 680,000 families in Manila.

The politician’s action came after the coronavirus pandemic haltered the operations of government agencies and various business establishments leaving employees without any income during the lockdown.
