Most Filipino people are still struggling with their financial status due to loss of income as the coronavirus pandemic affects their jobs. The operations of most business establishments and government agencies are still suspended to prevent the second wave of the virus.
A Facebook user named Bernadette Reyes has shared the heartbreaking story of a poor jeepney driver who had no choice but to live on his own vehicle for having no income and not receiving cash aid.
The homeless driver identified as Mang Jordiolyn is not earning any amount due to suspension of jeepney trips. He did not also receive a financial assistance from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board amid lockdown.
Adding insult to injury, the man failed to sent money for wife and eight children in the province due to loss of income.
