DILG To Send Double SAP Receivers a Demand Letter – Usec

DOUBLE SAP RECEIVERS – According to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), those who received double cash aid would be sent a demand letter.

According to DILG Usec. Jonathan Malaya, the government has the capability to know who received double cash aid. He explained that if a family received cash aid from DSWD, they should deny the ones from SSS and DOLE.

However, amid the coroanvirus quarantine, thousands of families have been left with no income. As such, the governments Social Amelioration Plan was their only source of cash.

Following this, an artice from Brigada News stated that Malaya urged those who have received double cash aid to return the extra cash so it may be given to those who hadn’t yet.

Moreover, he emphasized that the government would not hesitate to file a case against those found guilty of receiving double cash aid from the SAP.

Currently, the government has said to include an additional 5 million low-income families as beneficiaries of the SAP. Furthermore, the DSWD said they would be launching an app that would ease the application for the SAP.
