Three Individuals In Los Baños, Laguna Died After Drinking “Lambanog”

LAMBANOG – Three people in Purok 5, Barangay Maahas, Los Baños, Laguna died after drinking distilled palm liquor or known as lambanog.

According to Manila Bulletin, the fatalities were identified as Christian Macasinag, aged 34; Analyn Jubilo, 31; and Regino Lapitan, aged 47.

One of their friends, identified as Cornelio Tandang, aged 56, survived the incident.

Police reports show that the victims, along with four others, were on a drinking spree at a house in Macasinag, which was located in the middle of a field in Sitio Ibaba in Purok 5 at 7 PM, May 15.

The lambanog they shared was said to have come from Rodel Valdez, aged 36, and Dary Remegio, aged 40, who were from Duling Dangka, Barangay Bayog.

At 9 AM, Saturday, the victims began complaining that they had severe stomach ache, possibly caused by the alcohol and food tey shared.

As per the report, Macasinag was no longer taken to the hospital since he died at his residence, while the other two victims died in the hospital while undergoing treatment.

Police further said that the victims’ bodies will undergo autopsy while they are currently probing the incident.
